Invite your friends and earn Referral Tickets as a reward! This system encourages players to bring in new adventurers to the world of RetRO while making sure the system remains fair.

How the system works

1. Generate My Referral Code (become a Referrer)

• Each account gets one referral code (8 characters). If you already have one, the NPC shows it again.

• Your code is saved in the referral_codes table along with your account ID, character name, IP, and Gepard unique ID.

• Share this code with friends — when they enter it, you become their referrer.

2. Enter a Referral Code (become a Referee)

• An account can be referred only once.

• Enter the friend's code; the system checks:

  • The code exists.

  • You can't use your own code.

  • The referrer hasn't hit the max referrals per account.

  • Different IP check (if enabled).

  • Different Gepard UID check (if enabled).

  • Max accounts per IP/device (if enabled).

• On success, the link is registered in referral_system, and the referee gets referee_points_on_join Referral Points immediately.

3. Claim Referee Reward (for the referred player)

Available once you:

• Were referred by someone, and

• Reached the required Base Level (configured via required_base_level).

Rewards (configurable): Cash Points, Old Blue Box, Yggdrasil Berry, Kafra Scroll. Claimable only once.

4. Claim Referrer Rewards (for the referrer)

As your referrals level up, you claim rewards per successful referral:

• Base package when a referee reaches the required Base Level → random costume + items + Referral Points + Cash Points.

• Progression rewards when a referee reaches Base Level 60 and Base Level 99 → Referral Points.

5. Milestones (auto-checked after claiming)

Bonus Referral Points and random costumes at:

• 3 referrals → bonus points

• 5 referrals → points + random costume

• 10 referrals → points + random costume

• 20 referrals → points + random costume

The highest milestone reached is tracked per account.

6. Referral Points Shop

Spend Referral Points on:

7. View My Referral Status

Shows your referral code, total referrals, successful referrals, pending rewards, current Referral Points, Cash Points, next milestone, and who referred you (if any).

Anti-Abuse Protections

• One referral code per account.

• One referral per account (can only be referred once).

• No self-referral.

• IP / Gepard UID difference checks.
